For those staying in the casino, we're going to provide a shuttle on the wedding day, so there's no reason to drink and drive. We tried to get Willie [Nelson] to play at the wedding but he was booked up, however we did get him to play at the Casino on the Sunday night just in case you want to extend your vacation.
September in California is one of the best times to visit. The sea should be warm enough to trunk it, the weather should be a little cooler than in the height of the summer, but still lots of blue skies. The trees on the mountain will be turning to Autumn. Apple harvest and breezes.
You probably won't need a raincoat (though there is always a chance). Its quite likely going to be pretty warm during the day (and suncreen is a must) so dress appropriately - but, you will need something a bit warmer for the evenings as we'll be up high.
Just a note to the ladies: unless you are really adept and practiced at your swagger in your high heeled shoes, keep in mind that Bailey's is a rustic spot, so the terrain in some areas is somewhat uneven and may be better tread by a low wedge or flat heeled shoe.

Are you "registered" anywhere? We love the invitation and the image on your blog is beautiful! Well done!!! xxx
ReplyDeletethanks jessie! Tom gets the credit for the blog, as Im sure you guessed. My friend Edgar and I worked on the invitation together. It was a lot of fun. Tom and I aren't actually "registered" anywhere, no. We plan on living on the boat for a little while so accumulating a new set of China isn't exactly on the top of the list if you know what I mean! Thank you for asking, though. Really, we are happy for anyone who can make it, and all the traveling involved to get here is a gift itself. I mean it! But if people really want to give a gift, contributing to our travel piggy bank would be accepted with much gratitude. :)
ReplyDeleteso... we did decide on making a registry after all. Seems to be easier for some people though we really do mean it when we say that people traveling far and wide to make it to our shindig is really gift enough.
ReplyDeletebut, for practical purposes, we have a registry at crateandbarrel.com and also at tenthousandvillages.com
